Words of wisdom
I celebrated my 25th birthday a month ago.
It feels so wild. I definitely don’t feel like an adult sometimes, and I definitely have a baby face (I practically look 21).
On my 23rd birthday I wrote a list of things I had learnt in my 23 years of living.
So I have decided to add to that list.
Look after yourself first and foremost
Everything is always working out in your favour
Trust you are on the right path, and that you are always being guided
Road blocks are detours in the right direction
You’re real friends will always love and support you
If you want something, go get it
Do what you want to do, not what others are telling you to do
You matter in this world
Mental health takes priority over any work/school commitments
Who cares what others think
11. If they ain’t in the arena with you getting their arse kicked, their negative opinion isn’t valid (ever)
12. Age really is just a number
13. Get out of your comfort zone
14. If you’re not growing, you’re not changing or learning
15. Learn how and when to say no
16. Learn how and when to say yes
17. If it’s not a fuck yes, it’s a fuck no
18. Heal your past trauma
19. Do what you love every damn day
20. If you’re not doing what you love every damn day, you need to change or leave something
21. Trust your intuition
22. Be your own best friend
23. Love yourself like you mean it
24. What’s actually meant for you, won’t pass you by
25. Be open to new beginnings, new things and new people
My journey currently is so far from where I thought it would be right now, and that’s okay. I’ve learnt that the unknown is the beauty of life. We’re all meant to be on this ride, called life.
If you’re feeling stuck in life - go outside for a walk, enjoy the sunshine (it’s officially Spring now), move your body, and do something you love even if it is small (everyday).
Lots of love,
Rachelle xx
